| We have come across some instances where some speed heads are vibrating. We would just like to make sure that the correct procedure is followed when installing the speed feed heads. | |
| Step 1 | |
![]() |
Ensure that you have a large screw driver and 5 mm allen key to install the speed feed head to the shaft of the trimmer/brushcutter |
| Step 2 | |
![]() |
Make sure that the allen key is inserted into the locking notch on the side of the brushcutter/trimmer gearcase. |
| Step 3 | |
![]() |
While the allen key is still inserted place the appropriate sized arbour into the brushcutter/trimmer gearcase with the large flat head screwdriver. Tighten in the left hand thread direction |
| Step 4 | |
![]() |
Leaving the allen key installed, place the speed feed head onto the male thread of the arbour and hand tighten in the left hand thread direction. Then remove the allen key. |
Do not place the arbour into the speed feed head before installing onto the brushcutter/trimmer, as it might not locate properly and cause vibration problems. |
